Kathryn A. Densborn
 
Kathryn A. Densborn, Executive Director
Kathryn A. Densborn was appointed Executive Director of the State Lottery Commission of Indiana by Governor Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. on December 7, 2006. She has held various positions in business and in state government, including: Indiana National Bank (JP Morgan Chase), Savage/Landrigan, Inc. and the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance. Additionally, she represented the interests of the Indiana Library Federation, the Girl Scout Councils of Indiana and the Retired Service Volunteer Program (RSVP) before the Indiana General Assembly. Kathryn served on the 2007-2008 Executive Committee of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and since June 2007, has served on the Marketing and Promotions Committee of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), the governing body of Powerball®. Kathryn received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
 
W. Edward Benton
 
W. Edward Benton, Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer
Ed Benton joined the Hoosier Lottery as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2005. He is also the Deputy Director for the Lottery, in charge of the Accounting, Information Technology (IT) and Security Departments. For the 16 years prior to joining the Lottery, Ed worked for Anthem Inc. (WellPoint) and held various positions including Vice President, Controller and Senior Accounting Officer. Ed also worked in a number of management positions for a finance subsidiary of Citigroup in Baltimore, Cincinnati and Minneapolis. Ed earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Baltimore and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
 
Susan Golightly
 
Susan Golightly, Director of Marketing
Susan Golightly joined the Hoosier Lottery as Director of Marketing in late January 2007. She brings with her more than 20 years of marketing experience in the retail, packaged goods, and business-to-business industries. Throughout much of her career, she has worked for clients such as P&G, Pepsi, General Electric, Mead and Quaker on local, regional and national integrated marketing, product launch, and loyalty initiatives. She also has significant retail channel experience, working directly with companies such as: True Value, Rite Aid and Simon Property Group, as well as working indirectly with retailers such as: Target, Kroger, Lowe’s, and Wal-Mart via account-specific initiatives on behalf of her packaged-goods clients.
 
Jeff Goltz
 
Jeff Goltz, Director of Information Technology
Jeff Goltz has been with the Hoosier Lottery since May 2006. As Director of Information Technology, he is responsible for overseeing all Systems Development, Technical Services, and System Operations. Prior to joining the Lottery, he worked in the fulfillment automation and credit card processing industries. Jeff is an IBM Certified Specialist. He earned bachelor degrees in Corporate Finance and History from Ball State University. Jeff also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialty in Information Systems Management from Ball State University.
 
Andrew Jones
 
Andrew Jones, Information Security Officer
Andrew Jones has been with the Hoosier Lottery since October 1999 and has served in numerous positions at the Lottery, including Information Technology Director. Prior to becoming IT Director, Andrew served as Systems Development Manager where he co-developed the Hoosier Lottery’s automated draw software. As Information Security Officer (ISO), his responsibilities include evaluating all aspects of information resource security, consulting on policy and procedures to enable secure, accurate and available information resources and to enhance the integrity of information systems. Before coming to the Hoosier Lottery, Andrew accumulated 10 years of lottery-related information systems experience while working for GTECH, a global lottery services and solutions provider. Andrew has over 20 years of experience in the Lottery industry. He earned an associate degree in Management Information Systems from ITT Technical Institute and brings over 20 years of experience in Information Systems, Strategic and Contingency Planning, Project Management, Internal Auditing and Account Management.
 
Andrew J. Klinger
 
Andrew J. Klinger, General Counsel
Andrew Klinger joined the Hoosier Lottery in March 2008 as its General Counsel. He manages the legal affairs of the Lottery including, but not limited to: litigation, contracts, and administrative proceedings. Andrew graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 2004. He spent three years in the Legal Division of the Indiana Gaming Commission building his knowledge of the gaming industry before joining the Lottery. Prior to attending law school, Andrew spent eight years in economic development in both state and local government where he conducted policy research, marketed communities, performed strategic planning, and managed infrastructure construction projects. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science and a Master of Public Affairs degree from Indiana University.
 
Tim Kuehr
 
Tim Kuehr, Controller
Tim Kuehr has been with the Hoosier Lottery since July 1994. As Controller, he is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, general ledger, annual budgeting, tax compliance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, prize payment and cash management. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). He earned bachelor degrees in accounting and management from Marian College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Butler University.
 
Irene Lange
 
Irene Lange, Director of Administration 
Irene Lange has been with the Hoosier Lottery since January 2007. As Director of Administration, she is responsible for Human Resources, Procurement, Mail Room Operations, Record Retention and the Lottery’s Distribution Center. Irene has more than 30 years of retail/operations experience, including serving as Assistant Commissioner at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and as Vice President of Product and Presentation for Galyan’s Trading Company. Irene earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. John’s University. She is certified as a Human Resource Specialist (CHRS).
 
Jim Nash
 
Jim Nash, Director of Security 
James (Jim) Nash joined the Lottery in August 2005 and has served as the Lottery's Security Director since June 2009. He is a 28-year veteran of the Marion County Sheriff Department (MCSD). He spent over 20 years in the Investigation Division at MCSD and headed the establishment of the Sexual and Physical Assault Unit. In addition, Jim served as the president of the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police for four years. He retired from MCSD in January 2003 as a lieutenant. As Security Director for the Hoosier Lottery, Jim’s duties include protecting the employees and assets of the Hoosier Lottery and enforcing state laws pertaining to the lottery.
 
Carrie Stroud
 
Carrie Stroud, Internal Auditor
Carrie Stroud joined the Hoosier Lottery in October 2006. As Internal Auditor, Carrie is responsible for developing a yearly master audit plan and a system of internal audits for the Lottery, including examination of internal controls and compliance determination. Before joining the Lottery, Carrie worked in various auditing capacities for Somerset CPAs, Crowe Chizek and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Stroud is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
 
Mark Thacker
 
Mark Thacker, Director of Sales
Mark Thacker joined the Hoosier Lottery as Director of Sales in January of 2007. Mark brings more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience to the Hoosier Lottery. Born and raised in Indiana, Mark graduated from Butler University in 1985 with a degree in business administration. He earned his Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Butler in 1994. Mark has worked in sales and sales management for the majority of his career, previously serving as the Vice President of Sales for Kaplan Financial before joining the Hoosier Lottery.
