Retailers Win Big!
Vegas Vacation Promotion: Mac’s and Circle K store managers win big prizes

Suggestive selling paid off for Mac’s and Circle K retailers in January and February. In fact, Lottery product sales were up 27.43 percent in January and 57.31 percent in February.

Store managers reaped great prizes for their successes, including the following:

1st Place:  Bob Wilson for Mac’s #2234 in Madison, Vegas vacation
2nd Place:  Sandy Harper for Mac’s #8 in Madison, Canon camcorder
3rd Place:  Dale Lyon for Circle K #23 in Indianapolis, Sony 27-inch TV
4th Place:  Pam Merriman for Mac’s #61 in Columbus, Toshiba DVD player
5th Place:  Ryan Malanoski for Mac’s #63 in Columbus, Bulova watch
6th Place:  Phil Canada for Mac’s #101 in Seymour, Pack of $5 scratch-off tickets
7th Place:  Matt Juda for Mac’s #33 in Bloomington, Pack of $2 scratch-off tickets
8th Place:  Tina Fresh for Mac’s #11 in Hanover, Pack of $1 scratch-off tickets
9th Place:  Rita Stepp for Mac’s #2233 in Seymour, 200 $1 scratch-off tickets
10th Place:  Loretta Claxton for Mac’s #86 in New Albany, 100 $1 scratch-off tickets


       
1ST PLACE: Bob Wilson at Mac’s #2234 in Madison won the top prize in the statewide promotion. He’ll be taking a Vegas vacation for his hard work.

 

 

2ND PLACE: Sandy Harper at Mac’s #8 in Madison took home a Canon camcorder for placing second.

 

3RD PLACE: Dale Lyon from Circle K #23 in Indianapolis took home a Sony 27-inch TV for placing third.

 

4TH PLACE: In Columbus, Pam Merriman at Mac’s #61 captured fourth place and won a Toshiba DVD player.

 

5TH PLACE: Ryan Malanoski at Mac’s #63 in Columbus won a Bulova watch with his fifth place win.


‘You’ll Never Mow Until You Ask’ Winners!

This winter, it paid to ask. From Jan. 31 to Feb. 27, the Hoosier Lottery ran an independent retailer “Ask for the Sale” promotion to boost scratch-off ticket sales.

It worked. Of the participating stores, sales increased an average of 39.31 percent over goal.

One lucky retailer in each of the Hoosier Lottery’s eight regions won a certificate for a John Deere lawn tractor, which has a list price of $2,549, as a result of their success.

The following retailers were the winners of the John Deere lawn tractors.

Region 1: AJ One Stop in Frankfort
Region 2: Smoke Shop I in Munster
Region 3: Olde Tobacco Road in Middlebury
Region 4: Johnson Junction #5 in Huntington
Region 5: Dawson Standard Service in Rushville
Region 6: Jacobi Food Mart and Gas II in Floyds Knobs
Region 7: Tobacco Road on South Boehne Camp Road, Evansville
Region 8: Garrett Shell in Attica
