One Powerball ticket purchased at a retailer in Valparaiso, Ind., matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number, in last night’s drawing and is worth $1 million as a result. The ticket was purchased at Speedway at 153 U.S. Highway 30 in Valparaiso.

School bus driver wins $40,000 playing Powerball®

A Whitestown school bus driver has won a nice chunk of change from the Hoosier Lottery. Tina Wood and her husband, Forrest, had returned from Walmart and were working in the yard Sunday when Forrest stopped to check their Powerball® with Power Play® tickets. Wood was shocked to discover they had matched four numbers and the Powerball number in the April 14 drawing.
