Hometown Favorite Hoosier Lotto Climbs to $21.5 Million
INDIANAPOLIS – The jackpot for Hoosiers' hometown favorite Hoosier Lottery game Hoosier Lotto has rolled to $21.5 million for Saturday's drawing. No player matched all six numbers from the Wednesday, July 28 drawing. The winning numbers were: 4-9-19-28-32-46.
Players haven't had a shot at a Hoosier Lotto jackpot of this size in more than two years. Saturday's $21.5 million jackpot ranks as the seventh largest since the game started in 1994. It was last hit on March 3, 2010 by Jerry Jones of Muncie who won $9 million on a ticket purchased at Village Pantry at 4900 East Jackson St. in Muncie.
The winner of the current Hoosier Lotto jackpot will be the second jackpot winner of 2010 and the 11th jackpot winner since January 2009. The last 10 Hoosier Lotto jackpots were hit in Kokomo, Elkhart, Huntingburg, Muncie (twice), Milan, Indianapolis (twice), Connersville and New Albany.
The biggest Hoosier Lotto jackpot on record was won by Peter Gilbert of East Chicago. He beat the game's odds of 1:12,271,512 to win $54.5 million in November 2007.
Hoosier Lotto tickets cost just $1 and may be purchased at more than 4,000 retailers statewide. Players have until 10:40 p.m. EDT Saturday night to purchase tickets for Saturday's drawing.
Powerball® with PowerPlay®
The winning numbers from Wednesday, July 28 were: 1-11-20-25-27 PB:2. The Power Play multiplier number was 5. No player matched all six numbers to win the jackpot so the jackpot rolled to $88 million for Saturday’s drawing.
Mega Millions® with Megaplier®
The Mega Millions jackpot is $33 million for Friday's drawing. Winning numbers from the Tuesday, July 27 drawing were: 2-7-10-16-29 MB:8. The Megaplier number was: 4.
