Rockville cafeteria worker wins with Wild Cherry™ Slots
INDIANAPOLIS – A Rockville High School cafeteria worker turned $10 in Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off winnings into $100,000 this week. Shirley Liencashed in a $10 winning Wild Cherry™ Slots Scratch-off at Rockville Express Mart at 600 N. Lincoln Road in Rockville and just happened to be there at the right time to buy a $100,000 winning ticket on the same game with her winnings.
“I was on my way to work Monday and was going to stop later, but I thought ‘I’ve got time before work’ so I stopped,” said Lien, who claimed her winnings at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis today.
Not phased by her win, the 72-year-old Lien went on in to work as usual. She didn’t let her win upset her routine and repeatedly assured her supervisor that she has no intention of quitting her job.
“After work I went home and cooked supper like I always do,” said Lien.
Lien and her husband plan to put their winnings in the bank. Their plans for the winnings could reasonably be classified as less than extravagant. She plans to go to J.C. Penny and buy a couple new pairs of work pants and a new purse.
