Veteran, recent Anderson transplant wins $130,000
An Anderson man has won $130,000 on a Hoosier Lottery scratch-off and has big plans to use the money to expand his children’s educational opportunities. Denis Dearborn, a disabled Marine and former police officer, won a top prize on a $5 Triple the Money Scratch-off. The Madison County resident works out of his home building custom guitars. His wife home-schools their two sons and is pursuing a degree in Accounting. The couple moved to Indiana approximately two months ago from Massachusetts specifically because of Indiana’s reputation as a great place to raise children. The couple plan to use their winnings to expand the educational opportunities for their children. “I’m going to put 100% of it away for my kids’ education,” said Dearborn. “We can use it to travel and experience things. If we want to take a trip to learn about an important historical place or event we can. It will be great to get to travel and have fun as a family.” Click here to read more about Denis.
