Dubois County man takes top prize on Holiday Winnings

Joe Ellis of Huntingburg bought himself a reprieve from the gentle, loving reminders of his wife Barbara when he spent $5 on Holiday Winnings, a Scratch-off from the Hoosier Lottery. When the married couple came to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis December 20 to claim the game's top prize of $125,000, Barbara had already made plans for the winnings.
