Lake County woman’s ship comes in carrying $200,000 Hoosier Lottery win

A Merrillville woman was singing “My ship has finally come in!” as she claimed a $200,000 Mix & Match prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis today. Karee Burton was at work Friday night when she checked her Mix & Match ticket and discovered she had matched five numbers in one line in Friday night’s drawing.  She said the exciting news made for a  long night at work and a long weekend waiting to claim her prize. The Lake County woman purchased her winning ticket at Marathon at 6851 Broadway in Merrillville. Burton’s lucky numbers were: 14-15-28-36-50. Burton says she plans to pay off her car and start getting her financial ducks in a row as she begins to think about her eventual retirement.“It’s a true blessing,” said Burton.
