$200,000 Powerball Win “Feels Great!”
INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis man says it “feels great!” to win $200,000. George Patterson matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number, in the December 1 Powerball® with Power Play® drawing. He claimed his prize today at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters.
“I’m so happy!” said Patterson.
What makes his win even more special is the fact that he won with numbers that are near and dear to his heart. They are digits associated with his first granddaughter, Somora’s, birthday, birth weight and time of birth. He’s been playing the numbers since she was born almost two years ago.
Patterson’s lucky numbers, the winning numbers drawn Wednesday, December 1, were: 5-10-11-12-20 PB: 2. The Power Play multiplier was 3.
Patterson is a material manager for a telecommunications company. He and his wife are looking forward to beefing up their savings.
Patterson purchased his ticket at Liquors Unlimited at 7302 Rockville Road in Indianapolis.
Patterson’s ticket is one of 35 tickets nationwide worth at least $200,000 in the December 1 Powerball drawing. Three additional tickets in Indiana matched the first four numbers and the Powerball number with the Power Play and are worth $30,000 each. Another ticket also matched the first four numbers and the Powerball number, but did not include Power Play, resulting in a $10,000 prize.
