FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 12, 2010 One Digit Off: West Harrison Woman Wins $200,000 INDIANAPOLIS – Sandra Neu of West Harrison just won big money playing America's favorite game, Powerball. Neu claimed the $200,000 prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters this afternoon with her husband Roger. "I usually call the 800-number to check my numbers," said Neu. "I was checking the ticket and one right after another was matching. I screamed, 'we've got five of the numbers!'" Neu was just one digit off from the $25 million Powerball jackpot. She matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number to win $200,000. The winning numbers on Jan. 2 were: 3-7-23-27-42 PB:37. The Power Play multiplier was 3. "She kept getting louder and louder," said Roger Neu, of his wife's checking of the Powerball numbers. "We stopped at the store where we purchased the ticket after the draw," said Sandra Neu. "They told us that they sold a $200,000 winner and I asked my husband, 'wouldn't it be nice if it were us?' And it was!" Neu and her husband plan to pay off their house and stash a little bit away for a possible cruise. They are both employees at Walmart. The Dearborn County resident purchased her winning ticket from Speedway SuperAmerica #9638 at 1113 West Eads Parkway in Lawrenceburg. The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to please play responsibly. # # # MEDIA ONLY: For additional information, please contact Lucia Anderson, 317-264-4805, firstname.lastname@example.org
