Avilla Resident Wins Million Dollar Annuity
INDIANAPOLIS – Clarence McCormick of Avilla
is self-employed in the construction industry and likes to play the Hoosier Lottery for fun- and to win money.
Today, both of those things came true when he purchased $20 Island Jewels from Meijer Store #124 at 6309 Lima Rd. in Fort Wayne.
McCormick had a few tickets to redeem and purchased the Island Jewels game with previous winnings.
"I had to get one to go!" said McCormick, who scratched off the game when he got home.
"I normally scratch from left to right," said McCormick. "This time, I switched it up and the zeroes just kept coming."
The Noble County resident revealed a $1,000,000* win and immediately informed his wife, Charlotte.
"She was hesitant to believe me," said McCormick. "But now she does!"
The McCormick's plan to put the money in the bank for their retirement.
The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to play responsibly.
