Bingo! Sellersburg Woman Turns $3 Into $50,000
INDIANAPOLIS – A Sellersburg
woman turned $3 into $50,000
playing the Hoosier Lottery over the weekend. Linda Wright
was looking for something fun to do Saturday night so she bought some Hoosier Lottery scratch-off tickets, including a $50,000 Bingo Doubler
ticket. That $3 Bingo ticket turned out to be worth considerably more than an evening of entertainment, and Wright has the $50,000
to prove it.
Wright is a nurse at Clark Memorial Hospital who says she loves to play the Hoosier Lottery for fun.
"It's a thrill!" said Wright.
She and her husband, Chuck, a machinist, say they intend to use the winnings to pay off a home equity loan and take a trip to Las Vegas in May for their 40th Anniversary.
"I've been wanting to go to Vegas," said Wright. "Now it looks like we'll be able to."
Wright says she has been on a lucky streak lately and plans to continue playing the Lottery. She won $40 while she was waiting to claim her $50,000 prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters this morning.
"It's fun playing the Lottery and knowing the good that comes out of it, the good things the money benefits," said Wright.
Wright purchased her winning ticket at Circle K at 602 Indiana Ave. in Sellersburg.
The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to please play responsibly.
