Flat Rock Man Hits $50,000 in Town of Hope
INDIANAPOLIS – A Flat Rock
man can sleep a little easier after winning $50,000
from the Hoosier Lottery. James Rush
matched five of five numbers in Saturday night's Lucky 5
Evening drawing. Rush claimed his prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today.
The Shelby County man purchased his ticket at Huck's #301 at 9823 North State Road 9 in Hope. The town of Hope is located in Bartholomew County and has a population of 2,140. It bears the motto "A Surprising Little Town."
Rush won with numbers he selected at random on May 29: 1-7-14-19-28.
The father of two has no extravagant plans for his winnings. He says he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and build a savings. He hopes to put the bulk of it in the bank.
"I might take the kids out for ice cream," said Rush with a smile. "It's not 'take this job and shove it money' but it's a blessing."
Since 1989, Hoosier Lottery players have won more than $7.6 billion in prizes. The Hoosier Lottery has transferred $3.7 billion to the state for the benefit of the citizens of Indiana.
The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to please play responsibly.
