Fort Wayne Man Wins $150,000 at Lassus Handy Dandy
INDIANAPOLIS – A Fort Wayne
man is extremely happy after winning $150,000
from the Hoosier Lottery over the weekend. Kevin Adams
couldn't believe it when he scratched off a top prize on a 20X the Money
ticket last Friday. After an anxious weekend of waiting, Adams was all smiles as he claimed his prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters this morning.
Adams purchased his winning ticket from Lassus Brothers Oil at 6111 Bluffton in Fort Wayne. For Adams, the retailer, known to shoppers as Handy Dandy, is living up to it's name.
"This'll come in handy," said Adams.
Adams is a lifelong Hoosier. The Allen County man delivers pizza for a living. He and his wife plan to use their winnings to pay bills. They are excited to purchase a brand new washer and dryer.
"This is a blessing," said Adams. "We're very, very happy."
When it hit retailers in March, the 20 X the Money scratch-off ticket offered 10 top prizes of $150,000. Adams is the seventh lucky player to claim a top prize on that game. Three top prizes remain unclaimed at this time.
Since 1989, Hoosier Lottery players have won more than $7.7 billion in prizes. The Hoosier Lottery has transferred $3.7 billion to the state for the benefit of the citizens of Indiana.
The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to please play responsibly.
