Fortville man turns $5 into $50,000

CrockettINDIANAPOLIS – A Fortville man turned $5 into $50,000 when he purchased a winning Hoosier Lottery Fat Wallet Scratch-off at Speedway at 335 East Broadway in Fortville.

Business owner David Crockett claimed his prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis today. The lucky winner plans to use his winnings to boost his business and buy his wife a new Harley Davidson motorcycle.

“All I want is a new Harley!” said Kelly Crockett.  “Well, not new, but new to me!”

Crockett owns a tree clearing company and plans to put most of his winnings to good use purchasing new equipment and supplementing his business during the slow season.

“This happened at a good time,” said David Crockett. “Winter is a down time at work. This will really help out.”

Crockett’s wife runs a storage facility.  Together they have 12 grown children and eight grandchildren, all of whom are very excited for them.

“It’s been really neat,” said Kelly Crockett.  “Everybody’s happy for us!”
