Goshen truck driver wins $200,000 at 7-Eleven
INDIANAPOLIS – Ron Harris of Goshen was just looking for a deal when he stopped at an Elkhart 7-Eleven to get a free Pepsi with his sandwich last Friday. He ended up with a much bigger deal than he anticipated. Harris walked out with a Hoosier Lottery Mix & Match ticket that ended up being a $200,000 top prize winner.
“7-Eleven is offering a free pop with a sandwich this month so I stopped there and got my Lottery tickets, too,” said Harris.
Harris discovered his win Saturday morning while sipping his coffee at his kitchen table. He was shocked to see the numbers on his ticket match up to the winning Mix & Match numbers in the March 22 drawing.
“I couldn’t believe it,” said Harris. “I checked my ticket at least five times.”
Harris purchased his lucky ticket at 7-Eleven at 58458 State Road 19 in Elkhart. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
As for Harris’s winnings, he plans to pay off his bills and donate to a pet refuge in Mishawaka.
