Hoosier Lottery giving away 10,000 FREE Cash 5 tickets at Sunday’s Colts game
INDIANAPOLIS – The first 10,000 fans 18 or older through the gates at the Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday, Dec. 9, will receive a Hoosier Lottery voucher good for a FREE shot at big cash. The Hoosier Lottery is giving away 10,000 coupons good for a FREE Cash 5 ticket.
The free Cash 5 coupons may be redeemed at the Hoosier Lottery Fun Zone located inside Lucas Oil Stadium at gate 135. Players are also welcome to take the coupons to any Hoosier Lottery retailer through December 31, 2012.
Supplies for Sunday’s giveaway are limited to one coupon per person for the first 10,000 fans through select gates.
Cash 5 numbers are drawn every night. The jackpot starts at $50,000 and rolls, or increases, every day until it is hit. The jackpot has been hit twice since the game launched Nov. 4 – once in Merrillville for $77,500 and once in Fort Wayne for $52,500.
The estimated jackpot for Friday night's Cash 5 drawing is $207,000 – the biggest jackpot offered in the game so far.
At just $1 a play, Cash 5 offers the best cash odds of any Hoosier Lottery draw game. The overall odds of winning are 1 in 8.8.
Players may purchase Cash 5 tickets anywhere Hoosier Lottery draw games are sold and may be purchased simply by asking a retail clerk for "Cash 5."
The mission of the Hoosier Lottery is to maximize net income for the state in a socially-responsible manner. In fiscal year 2012, the Hoosier Lottery generated $211 million in surplus revenue which was used to significantly reduce the motor vehicle excise tax for all Hoosier drivers and also supported the pension funds for retired Indiana teachers, police and firefighters. Player prizes for the fiscal year totaled $533 million and $60 million was earned by Indiana retailers on the sale of Hoosier Lottery products.
Since its inception in 1989, the Hoosier Lottery has produced more than $4.2 billion for the citizens of Indiana, $1 billion in commissions and bonuses for participating Indiana retailers, and has paid out more than $8.9 billion in player prizes.
