Huntington couple to celebrate anniversary in Las Vegas
thanks to the Hoosier Lottery
INDIANAPOLIS – A Huntington couple is going to Las Vegas courtesy of the Hoosier Lottery. Tammy Wirt won a three-night four-day trip to Las Vegas for herself and one guest next spring. Wirt’s non-winning The Price Is Right® scratch-off ticket was selected by the Hoosier Lottery in a second-chance drawing conducted Oct. 24.
In Las Vegas, Wirt will get to participate in the $1 Million Las Vegas Game Show Experience Stage Show where she will have an opportunity to play for the chance to win up to $1 Million.
“I’ve watched The Price Is Right® since I was little, and we love Vegas,” said Wirt. “I’m excited to hopefully win some money!”
Las Vegas holds special meaning for Wirt and her husband.
“We got married out there,” said Wirt. “Our 19-year anniversary is in May.”
Three more Hoosier Lottery second-chance winners will accompany Wirt on the trip. Those lucky winners will be selected in drawings in December, January and February. Players may enter their non-winning The Price Is Right® Scratch-off tickets online through mylottery at hoosierlottery.com for a shot at the remaining three trips. A mylottery account is free to sign up for at hoosierlottery.com for players 18 and older and provides exclusive offers and benefits such as coupons, newsletters, winning number alerts and jackpot alerts.
The Price Is Right® Scratch-off pays instant cash prizes up to $75,000. Five of those prizes remain unclaimed at this time. One additional $75,000 prize is also available through The Price Is Right® mylottery second-chance promotion.
The mission of the Hoosier Lottery is to maximize net income for the state in a socially-responsible manner. In fiscal year 2012, the Hoosier Lottery generated $211 million in surplus revenue which was used to significantly reduce the motor vehicle excise tax for all Hoosier drivers and also supported the pension funds for retired Indiana teachers, police and firefighters. Player prizes for the fiscal year totaled $533 million and $60 million was earned by Indiana retailers on the sale of Hoosier Lottery products.
Since its inception in 1989, the Hoosier Lottery has produced more than $4 billion for the citizens of Indiana, $1 billion in commissions and bonuses for participating Indiana retailers, and has paid out more than $8.8 billion in player prizes.
The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to play responsibly.
