Indiana couple wins cruise, plans honeymoon 30+ years after wedding
INDIANAPOLIS (May 17, 2018) — A group of Hoosiers will set sail on a five-day cruise, after winning a trip on the Powerball Power Cruise.
Other Hoosier Lottery players can still win a trip on the Powerball Power Cruise. Three entry deadlines remain.
For Middletown-native Beth Middleton, the cruise in early 2019 will be a belated honeymoon. She and her husband have been married more than 30 years. Her husband was deployed with the U.S. Marine Corps 10 days after the wedding, so they never had a chance to honeymoon.
Beth entered a few non-winning Powerball tickets into the Power Cruise promotion and said she was shocked to get the call from Hoosier Lottery that she won.
“Oh my gosh, I was so surprised!” Beth said.
Lisa Rogers of Indianapolis is looking forward to getting away. She has never been on a cruise and plans to take her close friend.
Lisa entered one non-winning Powerball ticket into the promotion.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Lisa said of winning.
Hartford City-native William Dice will be taking his second trip on the Powerball Power Cruise. William’s adult son won the trip last year and took him as his guest. This year, William plans to return the favor by bringing his son.
In total, 38 Hoosier Lottery players and their guests will win a trip on the Powerball Power Cruise. The five-day cruise’s destinations include Nassau and CocoCay. The cruise includes a VIP Kenny Loggins concert and a chance at winning onboard cash prizes. Click here for additional details.
The remaining entry deadlines for the promotion are May 20, June 3 and June 10. Entering is easy! Simply scan a Powerball ticket with the free Hoosier Lottery app. If it’s a non-winner, it will prompt you to enter the Power Cruise promotion. Login to your myLOTTERY account or join myLOTTERY for free to complete the entry. Non-winning Powerball tickets can also be entered on hoosierlottery.com.
Powerball Overall Odds are 1 in 25. 2nd Chance promotion odds are dependent upon the number of entries received.
