Indiana home to largest jackpot in nation
INDIANAPOLIS – The $29 million jackpot offered by Indiana’s hometown favorite, Hoosier Lotto, is the biggest jackpot amount up for grabs in the nation right now. (The Florida Lottery is also sitting at $29 million.)
Wednesday’s jackpot, if hit, will be the second-largest jackpot this decade, eclipsed in the past ten years only by 2007’s $54.5 million payday.
The winning numbers drawn Saturday, September 18, were: 8-9-11-14-29-35.
Powerball® with Power Play®
A lucky Georgia player is holding a Powerball ticket worth an estimated $116 million from Saturday’s drawing. This sends the Powerball jackpot back to an estimated $20 million for Wednesday’s drawing. The winning numbers drawn Saturday were: 1-18-37-39-44 PB:13. The Power Play multiplier number was 4.
Three Powerball tickets worth $200,000 apiece remain unclaimed in the Hoosier State. The winning tickets, which matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball number, were purchased at the following retailers:
- Indianapolis – Gas America, 5179 Lafayette Rd. (Drawing date: 4/21/2010)
- Lebanon – Gas America, 1335 S. Lebanon St. (Drawing date: 5/22/2010)
- Terre Haute - Marathon Express Mart, 301 S. 3rd St. (Drawing date: 7/31/2010)
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim a Hoosier Lottery draw game prize.
Mega Millions® with Megaplier®
New York joins Georgia as home to a big jackpot winner. A single ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball to win the estimated $54 million Mega Millions jackpot Friday, September 17. The winning numbers drawn were: 3-4-14-18-27 MB:13. The Megaplier number was 3. The jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing will be an estimated $12 million.
Players should always sign the back of their tickets. The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to play responsibly.
