Indianapolis man wins $50,000 with Lucky 5 quick pick
INDIANAPOLIS – Last Friday evening’s Lucky 5 drawing produced one top-prize winning ticket worth $50,000 and we now know who the holder of that ticket is. Willis and Phyllis Heath of Indianapolis claimed their big prize Monday at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis.
Willis Heath works for Pepsico. The Marion County resident is a regular Lottery player who purchased the winning ticket at Payless Liquors at 2351 Lafayette Road, and matched all five numbers in Friday night’s Lucky 5 drawing. Those winning numbers were 3-13-20-29-33. Heath’s ticket was a quick pick.
At Hoosier Lottery Headquarters, Heath joked that the win was no big deal, while his wife insisted the win was, in fact, a big deal and a welcome windfall.
“He’s actually very happy,” said Phyllis Heath.
Lucky 5 tickets cost just $1 each and players receive two boards per play. Five numbers are selected from a pool of 1 to 36. Prizes range from $3 for a match of three numbers to $50,000 for a match of all five. Drawings are held twice daily, except for Sundays, which feature only an evening drawing.
