Join Hoosier Lottery and Muncie Animal Care for Lucky Dog adoption event Thursday
Village Pantry event to raise awareness of animal adoption opportunities
INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 3, 2013) - The Hoosier Lottery is hosting a Lucky Dog adoption event Oct. 3 at Village Pantry at 641 W. Walnut Street in Albany. Potential pet owners can check out pups in need of a forever home, meet with representatives from Muncie Animal Care and spin the Hoosier Lottery prize wheel from noon to 2 p.m.

The Hoosier Lottery is partnering with more than 65 Indiana county Humane Societies and animal shelters - including Muncie Animal Care - to bring awareness to animal adoption opportunities throughout the fall.
The initiative ties into the Hoosier Lottery's new Lucky Dog scratch-off game which features photos of 10 adoptable dogs from Indiana animal shelters; three from the Humane Society of Indianapolis, three from the Humane Association of Clark County and four from the Allen County SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

ABOUT THE HOOSIER LOTTERY: Hoosier Lottery distributions benefit every county throughout Indiana. Each fiscal year, the Hoosier Lottery contributes $30 million to Police and Firefighters' Pensions, and $30 million to the Teacher's Retirement Fund. The remainder of Hoosier Lottery earnings help reduce motor vehicle excise taxes by 50 percent.
