Martinsville Man Hits $100,000
INDIANAPOLIS – A Martinsville
man is heading into the weekend with some extra cash in his pocket after winning $100,000
on a Hoosier Lottery scratch-off ticket. Kim Martin
won a top prize on the Line 'Em Up
scratch-off game. He claimed his money accompanied by his daughter, Kacy, at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today.
"I couldn't believe it," said Martin. "I saw the three matching symbols and I figured I won five or ten bucks. I saw all those zeros and thought 'no way!'"
As far as spending his winnings, the Morgan County man says he would like to put it all in the bank, but he admits it may not be entirely his call.
"There are some things around the house my wife's been wanting to do," said Martin. "I think she wants to upgrade to an in ground swimming pool."
Martin purchased his winning ticket at Convenient Food Mart at 589 South Morton in Martinsville.
When the Line 'Em Up game came out in January it boasted 10 top prizes of $100,000. Six of those top prizes remain unclaimed at this time.
The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to please play responsibly.
