New ticket produces instant winner
on first day of sales!

Vermillion county resident wins $75,000

INDIANAPOLIS (April 4, 2014) - Anthony Callese of Clinton had less than $10 in his pocket when he grabbed a soda, and had just enough to purchase the Hoosier Lottery's new, Fun 5s scratch-off ticket. That $5 ticket won him the game's first $75,000 top prize.

Callese is a union carpenter who only plays scratch-offs because he prefers to know if he has won right away.

The Fun 5s ticket had only been out for one day, on April 1, when Callese purchased it at Casey's General store on Western Ave. in Clinton. He thought he had a winner based on the clerk's excitement.
"I kept staring at it thinking can this be right? Even my fiancée looked at it several times to confirm it was the big prize!"

Although Callese plans to save most of the money, he would like to treat himself to a short vacation in Las Vegas.

Each Fun 5s ticket has five separate games that players can win. There are still seven unclaimed prizes of $75,000.
