NW Indiana man wins $1 million on Mega Millions
$421 million up for grabs Friday night
INDIANAPOLIS (March 23, 2018) — While tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot climbed to an estimated $421 million, one Hoosier was busy dreaming of how to spend the money he recently won on Mega Millions.
Willie H. of Northwest Indiana won $1 million on Mega Millions in the March 13, 2018 drawing. He purchased a single Quick Pick for the drawing and matched five numbers but not the Megaball.
He bought his winning ticket at Meijer, 611 W. Lincoln Highway in Merrillville.
Willie is retired, and he and his wife both enjoy playing Hoosier Lottery games. Willie tends to play Draw games, while his wife enjoys Scratch-offs. The couple plans to speak to a financial representative before making plans for the prize money.
Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot grew to an estimated $421 million after no tickets matched all numbers and the Megaball in the Tuesday, March 20, 2018 drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing are 14-38-51-64-70 and Megaball 9.
