Still time to get a ticket for tonight's $400 Million Powerball® jackpot!

Mega Millions® grows overnight

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 19, 2014) - The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is an estimated $400 million and Hoosiers still have time to get their tickets.  The deadline to purchase is 9:58 Eastern time tonight.

The $400 million top prize takes the number four spot for the all-time biggest Powerball jackpot ever. And, that $400 million represents the sixth largest lottery jackpot in the world!

The cash value of the Powerball jackpot is approximately $227.8 million.

Indiana leads the nation in Powerball jackpot wins with 38.  The biggest Powerball jackpot ever won in Indiana is a $314 million prize won by the Coterel-Hiles family on a ticket purchased at a Speedway in Richmond in August 2007.

In the current run, which began Dec. 26, 2013, 13 Powerball players in Indiana have won prizes of at least $10,000.  One additional player also scored a $1 million prize in this 15-draw run.

Powerball is not the only big jackpot game in town!

With no jackpot winner last night, the Mega Millions jackpot is up to an estimated $172 million for Friday's drawing.  Hoosier Lottery players won more than $74,000 playing Mega Millions in Tuesday's drawing.

Both Powerball and Mega Millions are payable in 30 year annuities or as the cash value, with taxes being withheld in both options. Powerball tickets are $2 and Mega Millions tickets are $1 and can be purchased, along with all other Hoosier Lottery games, at over 4,000 retailers across the state of Indiana.
