Tears of joy, relief accompany Southern Indiana woman’s $100,000 win
Angel Pruitt of Guilford, Ind. was taking a lunch break at her desk at work Tuesday at noon when she scratched off a $100,000 prize on a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off and immediately started crying. In disbelief, Pruitt asked a co-worker to look at the ticket and confirm what she thought she was seeing on the ticket. Her co-worker concurred that it looked like a $100,000 winner and then she, too, started crying. They called more co-workers over to check the ticket and pretty soon the whole office was in tears. “I started crying and then we all started crying,” said Pruitt. “They were so happy for me.” Pruitt says the tears just happened involuntarily as she realized that her immediate financial worries were over.
