Vermillion county resident wins $75,000
Anthony Callese of Clinton had less than $10 in his pocket when he grabbed a soda, and had just enough to purchase the Hoosier Lottery’s new, Fun 5s scratch-off ticket. The $5 ticket won him the game’s first $75,000 top prize.
Callese is a union carpenter from Local 133 in Terre Haute. He enjoys river fishing with his buddies, and he only plays scratch-offs because he prefers to know if he has a winner right away.
“I kept staring at it thinking can this be right? I read it over and over to make sure."
Yes, Callese had won the big prize and that ticket had only been out for one day, on April 1, when he purchased the ticket.
Although Callese plans to save most of the money, he would like to treat himself to a short vacation in Vegas. Enjoy your trip Anthony. Click here to see other recent winners
