Beginner’s luck lands Muncie Man $40,000 Mega Millions prize
General Motors retiree Bennie Felton claimed a $40,000 Mega Millions® with Megaplier® prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today. The lucky Muncie resident won on the first Mega Millions ticket he ever purchased. The quick pick ticket he purchased at Murphy USA at 1421 East 29th Street in Muncie matched four of the first five numbers and the Megaball® in Tuesday’s $380 million drawing. “I never played it before,” said Felton. “I figured I had as good a chance as anybody.” Not only did Felton take a chance on the game, he also opted to add the Megaplier for an extra buck. That wise decision turned what would have been a $10,000 prize into a $40,000 windfall. “It’s the best two dollars I ever spent!” said Felton. To read more about Bennie's story, click here.
