$124K GOLD RUSH
ISU employee wins $124K at Terre Haute IGA
It’s the win that almost wasn’t. A Terre Haute man almost didn’t purchase the Hoosier Lottery ticket that ultimately won him big bucks. Craig Kemp was standing at the Hoosier Lottery vending machine, debating which game to buy, when he decided he didn’t want to buy another $124 K Gold Rush Scratch-off. The Vigo County man said he hadn’t had good luck with that game so far. “I almost walked away and didn’t buy it,” said Kemp, who ultimately opted to give the game one more shot. The ticket Kemp almost didn’t purchase turned out to be a top-prize-winning ticket on the $124 K Gold Rush Scratch-off. It was worth $124,000. “It’s meant to be and we are truly grateful,” said Kemp’s wife Diana, who accompanied him to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today to claim his winnings. “It is humbling,” said Diana Kemp. “They say ‘with great wealth comes great responsibility,’ so it is very humbling.” Read more of Craig's story here.
