$2 million win offers fresh start for Scratch-off winner
Things are looking up in 2011 for Jose Carrillo-Perez. After a rough 2010, the Bluffton man is looking forward to a “fresh start” now that he has won $2 million on a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off. The Wells County man received an initial payment of $100,000 when he presented his winning ticket at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis yesterday. He will receive $100,000 every year for the next 19 years. Carrillo-Perez is looking forward to having a little less stress thanks to his additional income, but has no plans to quit his job at the Kroger Distribution Center in Bluffton where he has worked for the last ten years. “I like to work,” said Carrillo-Perez. “I’m a hard working person. I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t work.” To read more about Jose's story, click here.
