Jamestown man’s claims $100,000 from new scratch-off

A Jamestown man had his lunch “spoiled” November 9 after a scratch-off ticket revealed he had won $100,000Joseph Linton, a postal worker, sat down to eat the daily special at Silver Express – located at 8328 W. 10th St. in Indianapolis and scratch off his $100,000 Payout scratch-off from the Hoosier Lottery. Before he could get down his first bite of the meatloaf sub, he realized he was a big winner. “I didn’t even eat the sandwich, I was too excited!” he said Wednesday at Hoosier Lottery headquarters. “I had the clerk take a look at it to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. All the employees were happy for me, and very congratulatory.” Linton came to Hoosier Lottery headquarters with his wife, Arla. They, in turn, had two grandchildren in tow. As for their plans with the money, Linton said, “We’ll just be paying off bills and saving the rest.”
