Illinois man has sixth sense and $300,000!
An Illinois policeman’s hunch proved true when he won $300,000 from the Hoosier Lottery last week. Julius Jackson of Calumet City, Ill., said he recently had a feeling he was on the verge of something big. “I’ve been feeling real lucky the last couple weeks,” said Julius. “I’ve had a sense something was going to happen.” Jackson’s big break came courtesy of a Hoosier Lottery Quick Draw ticket he purchased at Speedway at 7405 Calumet Ave. in Hammond, Ind., in the Oct. 16 draw. The Cook County resident said he is excited to put a nice down payment on a house and indulge his wife with a nice decorating budget. Jackson said one of the coolest things about winning was the amazing moment when he – and the Speedway clerk - discovered his win. “The store knew somebody had won, but they didn’t know who,” said Julius. “It was me! When the clerk double-checked my ticket she looked at me smiling and said ‘you’re the one!’”Read more of Julius' story here.
