Father of five wins $50,000 playing Lucky 5
An Indianapolis man has won $50,000 from the Hoosier Lottery. Ronald Nevers won $50,000 when all five numbers on his quick pick Lucky 5 ticket matched the numbers drawn in the Saturday, July 2 evening drawing. Nevers is a painter and drywall worker. The father of five didn’t realize he had a winning ticket in his possession until a couple days ago. He unknowingly left a winning ticket - a piece of paper worth $50,000 - sitting unchecked and unsigned on a desk in his garage for two weeks. It wasn’t until his truck broke down on Friday that he decided to check the stack of Lottery tickets that had accumulated in the garage.“I took my truck to the junk yard Friday morning and found out I won $50,000 Friday afternoon,” said Nevers. “It was pure luck, but I needed it!” Click here to read more of Ronald's story.
