Brownsburg has a new millionaire
A Brownsburg man has won $1 million playing Powerball® with Power Play®. Terry Gregory claimed his million-dollar prize with his wife Shelly at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis Tuesday. The father of three won in the April 16 Powerball drawing when his ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number. Because Gregory purchased the Power Play multiplier for an extra dollar, he increased what would have been a $200,000 prize to a $1 million windfall. “I do Power Play because that extra buck pays off,” said Gregory. He was urged to check his tickets by a clerk who knew he always adds the Power Play. “I buy my tickets faithfully at Speedway. I went in to buy my tickets for tomorrow’s drawing and the clerk said ‘Check your tickets! Somebody that plays the Power Play here hit a million dollars!’” said Gregory. Gregory took the clerk’s advice and checked his tickets when he went home. He was shocked to discover that he was the million-dollar winner the clerk was talking about.
