Frankfort bunch claims September 5th Hoosier Lotto jackpot
A group of four individuals calling themselves “The Lunch Bunch” claimed the Hoosier Lotto™ jackpot prize from the Sept. 5 drawing at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis recently. The four winners are part of a group that meets for lunch every Wednesday and pools their money for Lottery tickets. They are: Harry Williams of Frankfort, a retired engineer from Norfolk Southern; Patricia Cox of Frankfort, a nurse; her husband, James Cox Jr. of Frankfort, a carpenter; and Wanda Surber, a retiree from nearby Michigantown. As far as their winnings go, each member of the group has a different approach to the windfall. At one end of the spectrum is Wanda Surber. “I’m going to buy a PT Cruiser!” said Surber. “This is happy money! I’m going to enjoy it!” Patricia and Jim Cox are taking a more restrained approach. “We’re going to invest it - that way the money continues on,” said Jim Cox.
