Bedford’s Friday the 13th $1 million Mega Millions® winner comes forward
Hoosier Lottery Public Relations Manager Megan Wright presented Tim Holle of Bedford, Ind. with a $1 million check at Circle K at 1428 16th Street in Bedford Wednesday afternoon. Holle purchased a Mega Millions ticket at that location that matched the first five numbers, but not the Megaball® in the Friday the 13th drawing. A last-second decision to add the Megaplier® for an extra dollar increased Holle’s prize from $250,000 to $1 million! Tim Holle and his wife Juliann are originally from St. Louis and have lived in Bedford for a decade. The couple owns a photography studio near the Circle K where he purchased his winning ticket. Tim says the store has been lucky for him before. “I always buy my tickets there,” said Holle. “I won $550 there on New Year’s Eve and I seem to win there more often.” Holle joked around with the customers and store personnel as he talked about the experience of winning. In the end, Holle acknowledged the weight of the windfall. “This is a real gift,” said Holle. “I feel blessed and humbled.” Click here to read more of Tim's story.
