$100 MIL CASH EXTRAVAGANZ
Indy couple’s $1 million win “a blessing” that is “meant to be”
For Vickie and Jim Strode of Indianapolis winning $1 million from the Hoosier Lottery is “a blessing” that is “meant to be.” Vickie bought a winning $100 Million Cash Extravaganza Scratch-off last Thursday on a lark at Speedway at 4610 Kentucky Ave. in Indianapolis. The lucky Hoosier said she feels like her windfall is meant to be because it was an unusual purchase for her. “I honestly don’t know why I bought that ticket,” said Vickie. “I don’t usually play that game. It was meant to be.” Vickie said one thing that makes the win such a blessing – and so special - is that it allows her to finally fulfill a lifelong dream of travelling to Europe. Vickie, her sister and her brother had planned for years to go to Europe but recently cancelled the trip due to her brother’s ailing health. “He wants to know we’ll still go,” said Vickie Strode. “Now we can.” Read more of Vickie and Jim's story here.
